Description

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules.
  • Run the close calendar and exceptions queue, and clear reconciliation and documentation issues consistently.
  • Oversee bookkeeping across all entities and maintain consistent accounting policies, coding, and documentation standards.
  • Manage intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, balances, and related-party support.
  • Lead end-to-end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, networks, and tokens.
  • Reconcile crypto balances and maintain audit trails using wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and exchange statements.
  • Implement finance controls, compliance tracking, and documentation standards appropriate for a lean team.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel on multi-jurisdiction requirements.
  • Deliver management reporting, burn analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury/cash visibility.
  • Support payment operations with strong authorization, recordkeeping, and reporting on balances, obligations, runway, and operational risks.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance operations with end-to-end close and reporting ownership.
  • Prior experience in web3/crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with IFRS/GAAP-level knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and operating across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Crypto-native accounting experience with wallets, exchanges, reconciliation, audit trails, and crypto-aware controls.
  • Strong documentation discipline and high integrity, with an audit-ready approach by default.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-ownership environment while improving systems and execution simultaneously.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to explain financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with Cryptio is mandatory.
  • Bookkeeping and compliance experience across one or more of the US, SVG, Panama, or UAE is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, due diligence, or fundraising processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with crypto accounting tools beyond Cryptio and/or blockchain analytics explorers is preferred.
  • Basic SQL or data proficiency for financial analysis is preferred.
