Description

  • Own end-to-end delivery of features from design through deployment and support.
  • Build scalable, maintainable systems to support evolving product needs.
  • Partner with product teams to clarify requirements and deliver practical solutions.
  • Improve application reliability and code quality through strong engineering practices.
  • Influence architecture and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and incident response as part of operational support.
  • Contribute to operational excellence across the platform.
  • Help raise engineering standards through code review and maintainability-focused practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture.
  • Track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, including testing, clean code, and maintainability.
  • Experience improving system performance and reliability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Strong code review skills and a mindset of raising engineering standards.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response.
  • Experience working with sensitive data and security best practices, including PII.
  • Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and MCP servers.
  • Preferred: experience with microservices or distributed systems.
  • Preferred: experience building data-intensive or large-scale platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with healthcare, compliance, or regulated environments.
  • Preferred: experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems.
  • Preferred: experience reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring.
  • Preferred: experience improving developer productivity through CI/CD and tooling.
  • Technologies and tools include Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Java 21 preferred, Quarkus, React, TypeScript, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Sentry, Spanner, BigQuery, Kafka, Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex.
