Description

  • Turn ambiguous product problems into clear user flows, product behavior, edge cases, and success criteria.
  • Prototype quickly and implement production frontend code for new product experiences.
  • Build and maintain scalable, modular, high-performance frontend code.
  • Review frontend implementation independently for UX, code quality, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and product correctness.
  • Define API contracts and backend expectations clearly.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers on architecture, data models, permissions, error handling, observability, and performance.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate prototyping, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and technical exploration.
  • Critically review AI-generated output and ensure correctness, maintainability, and product quality.
  • Balance speed, simplicity, performance, maintainability, and user experience in delivery decisions.
  • Keep end users, business impact, SEO, accessibility, and product quality in mind.

Requirements

  • Strong frontend experience with the ability to review React code independently.
  • Ability to reason about APIs, data flows, permissions, backend constraints, and edge cases.
  • Experience owning outcomes end to end, from problem clarification through shipping.
  • Comfort working in a role that may coordinate backend work or contribute to backend implementation when needed.
  • Ability to use AI tools productively while verifying logic and adapting output to the codebase.
  • Willingness to work without detailed tickets, finalized designs, or predefined APIs.
  • Preference for broad ownership over narrow specialization and heavy process.
  • Familiarity with the current stack: React, server-side rendering, JSX, Webpack, ESLint, Node.js, JSON REST APIs, and Haskell services.
  • Preferred timezone overlap between London and Singapore.
