Description

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure timely, accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Own complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, gross-to-net estimates, equity compensation, collaboration agreements, and equity and debt financing.
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining internal control procedures to reduce financial reporting risk.
  • Assist with preparing SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and other periodic reports, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal teams, and management to support quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Assist with optimizing financial systems and accounting processes to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with current industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and lead the accounting and accounts payable functions while supporting professional growth on the team.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Controller, Controller, and Vice President of Accounting and Financial Reporting on strategic and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a manager role.
  • Strong background in financial close and internal control execution.
  • Experience strengthening accounting systems, controls, and processes to support SOX, SEC, and GAAP compliance.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to determine accurate accrual estimates and align with budget forecasts.
  • Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences strongly preferred.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving innovation and efficiencies.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple processes and documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Base salary range of $140,000–$180,000 DOE.
