Description

  • Recruit and lead a central team of Software Developers in Test (SDETs).
  • Define and implement quality strategy across the SaaS platform, including shift-left testing, component coverage, contract testing, and stable E2E testing.
  • Develop quality approaches for data pipelines, statistical models, GenAI features, and other non-deterministic systems.
  • Optimize CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, developer workflows, and test feedback loops.
  • Establish performance, scalability, resilience, canary release, synthetic monitoring, and fault-injection testing practices.
  • Oversee release readiness through test coverage, risk assessment, and validation coordination.
  • Build privacy-compliant test data management and observability systems using logs, traces, and monitoring.
  • Track quality and DORA metrics, including coverage, defects, flakiness, regression rates, and execution health.
  • Partner with engineering and product leaders to promote quality practices, educate teams, and incorporate incident-review learnings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience leading QA or quality engineering teams in modern SaaS or platform organizations.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments, including AWS.
  • Expertise building and scaling automated testing infrastructure integrated with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Workflows.
  • Knowledge of testing strategies from unit through E2E, including contract and performance testing with tools such as Cypress, Pact, and k6.
  • Front-end testing fluency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, plus back-end experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience applying AI tools to testing, such as test generation, defect prediction, or intelligent automation.
  • Experience testing non-deterministic systems, including LLM applications or statistical algorithms.
  • Familiarity with GenAI and agentic-system validation methods such as snapshot testing, LLM-as-a-judge, and synthetic test generation.
  • Hands-on familiarity with observability tools such as New Relic and QA tools such as Zephyr Scale.
  • Strategic, pragmatic, systems-thinking approach to quality at scale.
