Description

  • Manage the movement of vehicles into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day team activities and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates, including providing feedback and demonstrating expected behaviors.
  • Create a positive team environment that supports communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects on incoming inventory and help determine whether vehicles should be repaired or rejected.
  • Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize rework and delays.
  • Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to evaluate repair costs and vehicle quality decisions.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by reducing the risk of injury and hazardous conditions.
  • Effectively manage multiple associates and delegate tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in varying shop conditions.
  • Ability to use required safety equipment, including face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective gear.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues with guidance from others.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
