Description

  • Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
  • Direct and support at least five leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, accountability, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Participate in strategic planning and help execute goals and objectives aligned with company priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, systems, and performance standards.
  • Build a positive team environment that encourages communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff and team members.
  • Ensure progression-path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
  • Monitor production capacity and assist with production planning.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and loss prevention requirements.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Reinforce team performance around quality, production, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • 5 years of management experience in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience leading and developing associates.
  • Proven ability to deliver project outcomes and company metrics.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high volume and quality.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends.
  • Ability to walk up to three miles per day and stand for extended periods in varying industrial conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and perform physical work requiring frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Must be able to use required safety equipment and personal protective equipment, including face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments.
  • Background check required; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
