Description

  • Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production targets.
  • Oversee day-to-day team activities, assess strengths and gaps, and drive improvements.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates and production team members.
  • Create a work environment that supports positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects on incoming inventory.
  • Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide whether inventory should be repaired or rejected based on repair cost and vehicle quality.
  • Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize rework.
  • Support a safe shop environment by reducing hazards and injury risks.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates across shifts and assignments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or exposed to fumes and odors from vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to use required safety equipment, including face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective gear.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and professionally in both written and verbal form.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • This role is not visa eligible and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
