Description

  • Own end-to-end quality strategy across web applications, APIs, and data layers.
  • Assess quality gaps and create risk- and business-impact-based test plans.
  • Build and scale unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression automation frameworks.
  • Define shared testing architecture, tooling, standards, and engineering patterns.
  • Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and establish release-readiness criteria.
  • Improve test reliability, pipeline health, automation coverage, and flakiness across critical user flows.
  • Partner with DevOps and Platform teams to maintain stable, production-representative test environments.
  • Define and monitor engineering quality metrics, trends, and risks.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product to incorporate testability and shift-left quality practices into planning and design.
  • Mentor engineers and QA team members, participate in incident reviews, and hold releases when critical quality standards are not met.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of software quality experience, including senior ownership of QA strategy, architecture, or automation.
  • Experience as a QA Architect, Staff or Principal SDET, Principal QA Engineer, or similar.
  • Proven experience building and scaling test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Postman, or similar tools.
  • Strong experience integrating automated testing with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript testing environments, REST APIs, and relational databases.
  • Strong understanding of modern web application architecture and quality engineering practices.
  • Experience with k6, Locust, or JMeter for performance and load testing is preferred.
  • Experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot, with interest in AI-assisted testing and pipeline optimization.
