Description

  • Design, develop, and operate scalable software components across backend APIs, mobile applications, and web applications.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Medical teams to define and deliver new features and platform improvements.
  • Drive technical excellence in architecture, code quality, and security for regulated healthcare software.
  • Contribute to a platform that supports multiple digital health products across current and future indications.
  • Mentor other developers and help raise the technical standard of the engineering team.
  • Work within a cross-functional product team with high ownership and lean processes.
  • Help balance speed and quality when building and improving product capabilities.
  • Support engineering work in an environment shaped by healthcare regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with backend focus.
  • Strong backend development skills in a modern established language such as Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or PHP.
  • Experience with Python, Django, and PostgreSQL is relevant to the current stack.
  • Good understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
  • Strong understanding of containers and the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and major cloud providers such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong Linux system administration capabilities, including self-hosting and securing bare Linux cloud instances.
  • Basic familiarity with monitoring and observability concepts; experience with Prometheus, Loki, and Grafana is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Curiosity, pragmatism, and a drive to continuously improve product and platform.
  • Basic networking experience is a plus.
  • GitOps experience with ArgoCD or FluxCD is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or similar configuration management tools is a plus.
  • Experience working in product-centric teams and with non-technical stakeholders is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries, healthcare, or security-conscious environments is a bonus.
