Description

  • Perform and direct the design of ductwork, piping, equipment selection, plumbing, and fire protection systems for assigned projects.
  • Assist with HVAC design as needed.
  • Provide project management support within the mechanical discipline, including monitoring project progress and budget.
  • Prepare Revit/BIM construction drawings and models from schematic design through construction administration for plumbing, fire protection, and sometimes HVAC systems.
  • Edit project specifications for existing and new projects.
  • Research technical issues independently and respond to emergent project needs.
  • Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
  • Interface with clients and project team members, including attending OAC meetings and keeping project budget in mind.
  • Respond to RFIs, review change orders, and support construction document preparation.
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
  • Coordinate work activities across project team members and participate in business development and marketing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering required; ABET-accredited degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related experience required.
  • Current CPD, PE, or FPE in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Working knowledge with continued growth toward higher-level technical expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience with engineering design software such as Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus required.

  • Ability to complete mandatory training, including compliance training, within required timeframes and follow internal policies and Code of Conduct.
