Description

  • Develop and execute a regional growth plan that delivers a minimum of 10% year-over-year growth in revenue and volume.
  • Source, build, and advance a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive senior leadership team for the region and individual offices.
  • Partner with Office Practice Leaders, Market Leaders, and Business Line Leaders to identify target clients, growth markets, and yearly Net Signed Fee targets.
  • Collaborate firm-wide to build complementary capabilities across offices and implement a Single-Firm, Multi-Office (SFMO) blueprint for integrated operations.
  • Oversee business practices, risk mitigation, project quality, and financial stewardship in coordination with the AEI Executive Director of Operations and Regional Practice Director.
  • Review contracting and grant exceptions in consultation with firm legal guidance and apply firm-first, region-second decision-making.
  • Represent and promote the firm externally at community events, conferences, and speaking engagements to build the brand and client relationships.
  • Champion practice, market, and services growth by identifying new markets/practices for investment, supporting R&D, and encouraging development of new services and products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree(s) preferred.
  • Generally at least 20 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience working in the architecture/engineering/interiors (A/E/I) industry is required.
  • Proven track record of leading, inspiring, and developing senior teams and high-performing staff.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, including risk management and financial stewardship.
  • Visible external presence and ability to build the firm’s brand in the region.
  • Commitment to and ability to champion Living-Centered Design and design excellence.
  • Optimistic, inclusive leadership style and experience fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Comfort with firm-wide collaboration to implement a single-firm, multi-office strategy and willingness to work anywhere in the U.S. (preference for candidates able to work in Central Region offices: Dallas, Houston, St. Louis).

  • Anticipated base salary range of $250,000 to $275,000 annually (actual pay may vary).
