Description

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across product and growth marketing to analyze trends in key metrics and their impact on business performance.
  • Partner with product teams to perform deep-dive analyses of user engagement behavior.
  • Design, implement, and analyze experiments to measure the impact of new features on core product metrics.
  • Turn ambiguous business questions into clear analyses, experimentation plans, and actionable recommendations.
  • Build and automate internal data products to keep decision-makers informed about the state of the business.
  • Use data to understand user behavior and measure the impact of product and marketing initiatives.
  • Bridge the gap between data and action by working with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Calm to support team success.

Requirements

  • 5 years of data science experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Comfortable manipulating data with Python or R.
  • BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting experiments.
  • Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions and technical solutions into business outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management and presentation skills.
  • Pragmatic and impact-oriented, with the ability to balance scrappiness and rigor.
  • Experience working on digital consumer products or subscription businesses.
  • Experience supporting product analytics, experimentation, user acquisition, lifecycle marketing, or retention.
  • Experience with causal inference, incrementality testing, attribution, or marketing measurement.
  • Experience with product analytics and BI tools such as Amplitude, Tableau, and Mode.
  • Experience building scalable analyses, reporting, or measurement frameworks that enable self-service decision-making.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $172,200 to $225,000, depending on geographic location and other factors.
