Description

  • Teach synchronous online classes via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday each week.
  • Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
  • Adapt teaching methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Use appropriate instructional strategies to communicate subject matter effectively.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the discipline through professional development and engagement with the field.
  • Keep the student database updated with accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Submit required instructional and accreditation documentation on time.
  • Communicate textbook, supply, equipment, and exam voucher needs with sufficient notice.
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in new projects and initiatives.
  • Follow CIAT policies, procedures, dress standards, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution, with official transcripts required.
  • Current CompTIA Tech+ certification.
  • Certification in the subject being taught.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field or 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
  • Advanced subject matter expertise preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canvas.
  • Effective presentation, communication, and technology skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a high level of dependability.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and work collaboratively in a higher education setting.

Benefits

  • Pay range of $35-$42 USD per hour.
  • Remote work available, with work performed from California, New Mexico, Florida, or Massachusetts.
  • Part-time variable-hour schedule that can work alongside a daytime job.
