Description

  • Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
  • Handle motor vehicle accident, commercial vehicle accident, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and other complex injury claims.
  • Develop litigation strategies and oversee all phases of litigation.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
  • Prepare cases for trial and try cases when settlement is not in the client’s best interest.
  • Serve as the lead personal injury attorney within the assigned state.
  • Help establish and grow the firm’s personal injury operations in the state.
  • Build relationships with medical providers, treatment facilities, expert witnesses, investigators, and other litigation professionals.
  • Develop state-specific pre-litigation and litigation procedures, workflows, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership, paralegals, case managers, and support staff to improve outcomes and maintain service standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license and good standing in Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington, California, or New York.
  • Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
  • Extensive experience with motor vehicle accident and commercial vehicle accident litigation.
  • Significant deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience.
  • First-chair trial experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
  • Experience working remotely while maintaining high productivity and responsiveness.
  • Established relationships with medical providers, experts, and litigation support professionals are a plus.
