Description

  • Review and track client medical treatment throughout the treatment lifecycle.
  • Request and obtain medical and billing records and related affidavits in a timely manner.
  • Review medical and billing records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Contact medical providers and records or billing departments for status updates on records and affidavit requests.
  • Use Chartswap when applicable and make direct phone calls to medical facilities for most requests.
  • Provide weekly status updates in the firm’s systems for records and affidavit progress.
  • Research and manage subrogation liens, including Medicaid, Medicare, hospital liens, and related claims.
  • Manage a caseload of 30-40 active cases and handle growth as the caseload increases.
  • Assist the Case Manager in confirming clients have received required treatment from referred providers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical assistant, medical office, or healthcare-related role preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical records management preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language ability.
  • Availability to work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central Time.
