Description

  • Engage healthcare stakeholders to identify high-value problems and translate them into buildable AI opportunities.
  • Map end-to-end business processes and identify where AI can reduce friction, cost, or decision time.
  • Create lightweight scoping documents, ROI estimates, and success criteria before development begins.
  • Design and build working AI prototypes quickly using Claude and the modern AI development stack.
  • Develop full-stack AI applications with LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, REST APIs, and lightweight front ends.
  • Own technical architecture from prompt design through data pipeline and user interface.
  • Iterate on solutions using real user feedback and drive prototypes toward production quality.
  • Partner with AI governance teams to harden prototypes into enterprise-ready systems.
  • Document solutions thoroughly so they can be handed off, scaled, and maintained by broader teams.
  • Participate in client meetings, demos, steering committees, and executive status updates.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of healthcare industry experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical and operational workflows.
  • Demonstrated use of Claude API for prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic application development.
  • Ability to build and ship end-to-end full-stack AI applications independently.
  • Proven ability to prototype solutions from business conversation to working demo in days.
  • Strong executive communication skills with healthcare and business stakeholders.
  • Comfort participating in steering committees, executive briefings, and business rhythm meetings.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
  • Quantitative fluency for ROI estimation and impact measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen (preferred).
  • Working familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance (preferred).
  • Prior embedded, consulting, or startup engineering experience owning the full stack (preferred).
  • Experience shipping AI in health insurance technology companies or health systems (preferred).
  • Experience building reusable AI platforms, components, or accelerators (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI governance, model risk management, bias evaluation, and audit logging in enterprise settings (preferred).
