Description

  • Engage business stakeholders to identify high-value problems and translate them into AI opportunities.
  • Map end-to-end processes and define minimum viable AI solutions, scope documents, ROI estimates, and success criteria.
  • Design and build working AI prototypes quickly using Claude and the modern AI development stack.
  • Develop full-stack AI applications with LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, REST APIs, and lightweight front ends.
  • Own technical architecture end to end, from prompt design and data pipelines to the user interface.
  • Iterate on solutions using real user feedback and move prototypes toward production-grade quality.
  • Partner with AI Governance to harden prototypes into enterprise-ready systems.
  • Apply responsible AI practices including bias review, explainability, HIPAA compliance, audit logging, and model monitoring.
  • Participate in client meetings, sprint reviews, steering committees, and executive status updates.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical concepts clearly to non-technical business leaders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of healthcare industry experience, with direct hands-on experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical and operational workflows.
  • Proficiency with Claude (Anthropic) as a development tool, including use of the Claude API, prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic patterns.
  • Ability to build and ship end-to-end AI applications independently.
  • Experience with LLM integration, RAG, agentic orchestration, REST API development, and lightweight front-end interfaces.
  • Proven ability to move from business conversation to working AI prototype in days.
  • Strong business articulation and stakeholder communication skills for executive-level healthcare audiences.
  • Comfort participating in steering committees, executive briefings, and other business rhythm meetings.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
  • Quantitative fluency for ROI estimation and impact measurement.
  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen (preferred).
  • Working familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data structures, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance (preferred).
  • Prior forward-deployed, embedded, consulting, or startup engineering experience (preferred).
  • Experience shipping AI in a health insurance technology company or health system (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to reusable AI platforms or accelerators (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI governance and responsible AI practices in enterprise settings (preferred).
