Description

  • Grade assignments for an assigned group of students using rubrics and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Support students who are flagged for grade, engagement, or personal issues.
  • Communicate with the Braven team, Leadership Coaches, and students about mastery, engagement, and upcoming deadlines.
  • Attend one virtual Learning Lab each week to support students, answer questions, observe cohorts, and potentially substitute for absent facilitators.
  • Attend weekly Grader meetings with the Grader Manager.
  • Hold one hour of virtual office hours per week to support students with questions.
  • Proactively reach out to students who need additional support.
  • Internalize Braven’s instructional content, including modules, slide decks, assignments, and rubrics.
  • Attend all live trainings and complete weekly asynchronous training during weeks 3 through 12.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Braven on campus when needed, including participating in panels and sharing experiences with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Prior experience using Google Suite, Zoom, and LinkedIn is highly preferred.
  • Comfort learning new tools such as Canvas, SpeedGrader, and other systems used by higher education partners.
  • A laptop or desktop computer is required to complete training, attend Learning Labs, and grade assignments.
  • Must live in one of Braven’s current operating states: GA, IL, DE, NY, NJ, or DC.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or serving as a Teaching Assistant is preferred.
  • Prior experience coaching students or adults is preferred.
  • Professional work experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Braven’s core values and mission is preferred.
