Description

  • Lead the visual direction for social-first content and campaigns with concepts that differentiate the brand and perform across platforms.
  • Design and produce assets for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Develop visual concepts that adapt across social, digital display, CRM, OOH, and POS touchpoints.
  • Translate consumer insights, campaign briefs, and brand purpose into authentic, inclusive, and distinctive visuals.
  • Art direct photography, video, and content shoots, including visual treatment, styling, and composition.
  • Build, mentor, and guide designers and content creators within the studio.
  • Collaborate with strategists, copywriters, social media managers, and the client’s brand team on integrated campaign assets.
  • Transform brand guidelines into ownable executions that resonate with diverse audiences and platform context.
  • Integrate Gen AI tools thoughtfully into ideation, exploration, and production workflows.
  • Manage multiple projects with varying timelines, formats, and platform requirements while maintaining quality and consistency.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of design experience, supported by a portfolio with strong social-first work for consumer brands.
  • Deep understanding of social platform behaviours, content formats, and visual performance across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels.
  • Strong conceptual ability with a track record of developing big ideas into compelling visual work across multiple touchpoints.
  • Experience with visual storytelling that communicates brand purpose, emotion, and product messaging.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects, plus Figma.
  • Experience art directing photography, video, or content shoots.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor designers and content creators with clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Experience creating native content and design systems for social platforms, including specs, safe zones, and format best practices.
  • Ability to present concepts to clients and stakeholders with clear rationale and conviction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing quality, speed, and competing priorities.
  • Understanding of inclusive design and visual representation.
  • Proficiency with Gen AI design tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL-E, and Runway.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into design workflows for ideation, mood boarding, visual exploration, and production efficiency.
  • Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, with strong human oversight and quality control.
  • Ability to prompt engineer effectively and evaluate AI-generated visuals for brand fit and quality.
  • Experience guiding team members in the responsible and effective use of AI tools.
  • Experience working on beauty or personal care brands is preferred.
  • Experience in FMCG is preferred.
  • Experience in an in-house agency, embedded studio, or social-specialist creative team is preferred.
  • Motion design or animation skills using After Effects, Runway, or similar tools are preferred.
  • Experience with design systems, template development, or scalable content frameworks is preferred.
  • Understanding of accessibility in design, including colour contrast, type hierarchy, alt text, and inclusive imagery, is preferred.
  • Experience with social commerce creative or performance-driven design is preferred.
  • Photography or illustration skills are preferred.
