Description

  • Create competitive SEO audits, proposals, and reports for clients.
  • Use SEO tools to assess website health and identify errors and opportunities.
  • Execute planned site optimization and other technical SEO tasks.
  • Conduct SEO research and optimization work for UX, website redesign, organic SEO, keyword research, and backlink projects.
  • Use Google Analytics to inform analysis and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client-facing stakeholders across multiple projects.
  • Communicate complex search and technical concepts clearly in written and verbal form.
  • Share SEO learnings and knowledge with internal teams and clients.
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining quality and detail.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience contributing to or managing SEO programs, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proven success with SEO campaigns for medium to large brands, ideally including ecommerce companies.
  • Strong understanding of cross-channel marketing principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical SEO concepts, including crawling, indexing, rendering, AMP, site migrations, page speed optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Advanced experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console; Tag Manager and/or Publisher Center is a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS as they affect search performance.
  • Experience with standard and enterprise SEO tools such as Botify, Sitebulb, Conductor Searchlight, Stat, SEMRush, Sistrix, DeepCrawl, and Screaming Frog.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work remotely from South Africa with your own industry hardware and a stable internet connection.
  • Preferred: experience in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment and familiarity with recent SEO developments such as Google Discover, E-A-T, and new Rich Results.
