Description

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming project requests and manage the intake workflow from submission through approval or denial.
  • Ensure project submissions include required documentation such as the business case, scope, risks, and timeline.
  • Perform initial qualification of requests to distinguish project work from operational work.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to develop project inputs, including business cases, problem statements, ROI, risks, dependencies, constraints, scope, and implementation approach.
  • Coordinate intake review cycles by preparing and facilitating meetings, tracking decisions and follow-ups, and maintaining governance standards.
  • Assist in scoring and prioritizing requests based on defined criteria and compile decision inputs such as timelines, resource needs, risks, and dependencies.
  • Communicate intake expectations, timelines, requirements, and templates to requestors and stakeholders.
  • Escalate gaps, risks, and incomplete submissions as needed.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and maintain intake documentation, templates, and tools.
  • Track and report on intake volume, approval rates, and cycle times.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of project management or PMO experience.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize business and technical information.
  • Experience with project intake, governance, or PMO processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in project tools such as Monday.com.
  • Experience supporting PMO or portfolio management functions is preferred.
  • Exposure to project prioritization, business case development, or funding reviews is preferred.
  • Familiarity with professional services or multi-business-unit environments is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of project financials and risk concepts.
