Description

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry media to drive proactive pitching.
  • Manage inbound press inquiries and coordinate responses.
  • Track media coverage and maintain the Press section of the company website.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate press releases and supporting materials for announcements.
  • Maintain the company LinkedIn presence, including publishing cadence and content development.
  • Manage the earned speaking calendar, including submissions, executive prep, and on-the-ground support.
  • Maintain the awards calendar, identify new recognition opportunities, and lead award application development.
  • Manage content and coordination for the monthly All Hands meeting and the monthly COO newsletter.
  • Coordinate company-wide communications with People and other operational teams.
  • Partner to maintain a communications calendar covering internal and external milestones.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in communications, PR, or media relations.
  • Experience working in an agency or lean in-house team.
  • Mission alignment and intellectual curiosity are required.
  • Healthcare or health tech experience is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and build systems that prevent work from slipping.
  • Strong media instincts and ongoing relationships with journalists.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt voice and format across pitches, announcements, and social posts.
  • Ability to think strategically, flag risks proactively, and know when to push back.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must reside and work in one of the approved U.S. states and be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.

Benefits

  • Starting salary range of $80,000-$115,000 annually.
