Description

Prepare and file corporate income tax (CIT) returns and calculations in accordance with Polish tax laws and regulations.
Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Liaise with Polish tax authorities and respond to inquiries and audits.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, identifying tax-saving opportunities and developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
Assist in implementing tax-efficient structures and processes across the company.
Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements and collaborate with the finance team for accurate tax reporting.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts from a tax perspective.
Develop and maintain internal controls, organized tax records, and documentation related to tax compliance and reporting.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of tax processes and provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Qualified Polish or international accountant certification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department, with a focus on preparing corporate and VAT returns in Poland.
In-depth knowledge of Polish tax laws and regulations and experience handling tax audits with Polish tax authorities.
Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of ERP Dynamics NAV is a strong asset.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.
Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
