Description

  • Prepare and file corporate income tax (CIT) returns and calculations in accordance with Polish tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Liaise with Polish tax authorities and respond to inquiries and audits.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services, identifying tax-saving opportunities and developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Assist in implementing tax-efficient structures and processes across the company.
  • Prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements and collaborate with the finance team for accurate tax reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts from a tax perspective.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, organized tax records, and documentation related to tax compliance and reporting.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of tax processes and provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on tax-related matters.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Qualified Polish or international accountant certification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • 5+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or a corporate tax department, with a focus on preparing corporate and VAT returns in Poland.
  • In-depth knowledge of Polish tax laws and regulations and experience handling tax audits with Polish tax authorities.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP Dynamics NAV is a strong asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of tasks while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
