Description

  • Work on data science projects involving NLP, large language models, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, vector space modeling, and machine learning.
  • Use rich user data sets to conduct research, develop models, and create data products with Development and Product teams.
  • Develop novel and scalable data systems with system architects to improve user experience using machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Portals, BI, Product, and Legal to deliver end-to-end products and features.
  • Estimate effort, identify risks, and help create and meet project schedules.
  • Run review meetings and drive closure of open issues on time.
  • Mentor and coach data scientists, providing technical leadership and supporting their development.
  • Identify broader product and team implications beyond immediate technical details.
  • Explore state-of-the-art methods and keep solutions current with technology.

Requirements

  • 5.5 years of experience as a Module Lead in Data Science.
  • Expert knowledge of Python.
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical and machine learning algorithms, including regression, instance-based learning, decision trees, Bayesian statistics, clustering, neural networks, deep learning, and ensemble methods.
  • Practical LLM/RAG experience for search quality, including query understanding, semantic retrieval, and reranker design.
  • Experience with Solr, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with prompt engineering frameworks such as LangChain or CrewAI.
  • Experience with embedding and vector search.
  • Experience using large language models.
  • Experience in feature selection and building and optimizing classifiers.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Flask and Gunicorn.
  • Experience with open-source NLP libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, and Gensim.
  • Experience with deep-learning libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Experience with software stack components including programming languages, back-end technologies, database modeling, continuous integration, service-oriented architecture, and software testability.
  • A keen learner with enthusiasm for developing software.
