Description

  • Develop and productionize machine learning models for healthcare products.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure model performance and business impact.
  • Collaborate with product teams and customers to scope analytics projects and build prototypes.
  • Translate ambiguous business problems into clear, quantitative, and testable hypotheses.
  • Communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including customers.
  • Present results and recommendations in customer-facing meetings.
  • Inform product roadmaps, evaluate technical feasibility, and assess project risks.
  • Ramp up on new healthcare data sources and adapt to new ML techniques and tools as product needs evolve.
  • Raise the analytics team’s skill level through presentations, documentation, code reviews, and model evaluation discussions.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent years of experience in data science, statistics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field.
  • Ability to develop and productionize Python code to serve API endpoints using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
  • Willingness to leverage genAI tools to support rapid experimentation.
  • Deep understanding of statistical models, including distributions and transformations.
  • Ability to create and evaluate supervised and unsupervised machine learning models in practical applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including SageMaker, Athena, RDS, Glue, ECR, IAM, and CodeBuild.
  • Strong knowledge of Git workflows and version control best practices.
  • Master-level understanding of SQL.
  • Track record of presenting analysis in a customer-friendly way for non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to advocate technical solutions to engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a math- or statistics-centric field, preferred.
  • Experience on a small data team of similar size (<5), preferred.
  • Experience working with protected healthcare data such as ADM or EHR, and pharmaceutical supply chain logistics such as invoicing or cost optimization, preferred.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, preferred.
  • Experience with MLOps, including MLFlow, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring, preferred.
