Description

  • Design low-latency service architectures and establish latency, availability, and outage-handling requirements.
  • Architect secure multi-tenant systems, including data isolation and access-control strategies.
  • Design audit and evidence systems with append-only logs, versioned or bitemporal models, and deterministic replay.
  • Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Develop capacity models and AWS cost-performance projections.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and architecture decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions during client engineering and security reviews.
  • Lead end-to-end architecture for large, complex systems and maintain ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
  • Deep AWS experience designing low-latency architectures and applying the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience designing explicit p95/p99 latency budgets, synchronous durable commits, and degraded-state semantics.
  • Experience with audit systems, event-driven architectures, queues, caching, and historical replay.
  • Experience architecting secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Expertise building scalable RESTful APIs and service SDK integrations.
  • Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience across the stack.
  • Experience establishing technical standards, mentoring teams, and presenting architecture decisions.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development and producing architecture documentation and ADRs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and regulated-domain experience preferred; ability to overlap U.S. business hours required.
