Description

  • Design end-to-end service architectures and scalable RESTful APIs in AWS.
  • Define latency budgets, synchronous commit strategies, and system outage or degraded-state behavior.
  • Architect audit and evidence systems using append-only logs, versioned or bitemporal models, and deterministic replay.
  • Design secure multi-tenant architectures using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Architect SDK integrations, event-driven systems, queues, caches, and search projections where appropriate.
  • Develop capacity models and cloud cost/performance projections using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Produce architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions during client engineering and security reviews.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
  • Substantial experience architecting complex systems end to end.
  • Deep experience with AWS and low-latency distributed service architectures.
  • Experience designing explicit p95/p99 latency budgets and durable commits in critical paths.
  • Experience with audit systems, historical replay, fail-open/fail-closed semantics, and outage postures.
  • Expertise in secure multi-tenant architecture, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, and Row-Level Security.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript across the stack.
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Experience establishing technical standards, mentoring teams, and documenting architecture decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree, US business-hour availability, strong technical leadership, accountability, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants; regulated domains and event-driven systems preferred.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
