Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current and future-state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for new-project planning.
  • Identify and resolve assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Write user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize and groom backlogs for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX, engineering, and QA to align designs, implementation, and test coverage.
  • Support sprint demos and coordinate client user acceptance testing.
  • Maintain organized requirements documentation and decision records in Google Drive.
  • Capture compliance, security, audit, and SOC 2 requirements explicitly and communicate scope changes and tradeoffs to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar in software projects.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions and converting ambiguity into structured requirements.
  • Ability to perform business-level process mapping and data modeling.
  • Hands-on Jira experience; familiarity with Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy sufficient to discuss APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment (preferred).
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-heavy domains such as SOC 2, telecom, education, or fintech (preferred).
  • Experience with third-party integrations, project estimation, or web technologies such as Laravel, React, and AWS (preferred).
