Description

  • Lead stakeholder interviews and discovery workshops to understand goals, workflows, and pain points.
  • Document current and future processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
  • Break project scope into estimable epics and user stories for new-project sizing.
  • Identify and resolve assumptions, risks, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Write user stories and testable acceptance criteria in Jira.
  • Partner with Product Managers on backlog prioritization and grooming for two-week sprints.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to align workflows and screens with requirements.
  • Support engineers during sprints by answering questions and maintaining current requirements.
  • Work with QA on test coverage, support sprint demos, and coordinate client user acceptance testing.
  • Capture compliance, security, audit, and SOC 2 requirements while communicating scope changes and tradeoffs to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role on software projects.
  • Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience leading discovery sessions and converting ambiguous input into structured requirements.
  • Ability to map business processes and model data concepts, including flows, entities, relationships, and rules.
  • Hands-on Jira experience, with familiarity using Figma and collaborative documentation tools.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, including confidence leading meetings with U.S. stakeholders.
  • Technical literacy sufficient to discuss APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.
  • Experience in an agency, consultancy, or software services environment managing multiple clients preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated domains, third-party integrations, project estimation, or proposal work preferred.
  • Familiarity with web application technologies such as Laravel, React, and AWS preferred.
