Description

  • Manage software development projects across scope, budget, resourcing, timelines, and concurrent workstreams.
  • Deliver projects against fixed external deadlines using critical-path and buffer management.
  • Maintain client dependency registers with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
  • Manage formal risk registers, dependencies, and change-control processes.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors, including contracts, credentials, and integration timelines.
  • Run Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams and manage milestone- and gate-based acceptance criteria.
  • Provide client-facing status reports and translate technical concepts for clients and executives.
  • Collaborate with distributed engineering teams working on large, complex systems.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, conflicts, and stakeholder concerns while maintaining accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines, such as product launches or trade shows.
  • Experience managing project scope, budgets, resources, timelines, risks, dependencies, and change control.
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies and client requirements.
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
  • Experience with milestone-based acceptance criteria and client-facing reporting.
  • Experience using Jira, Asana, or similar project management tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, attention-to-detail, ownership, accountability, and client-focus skills.
  • PMP, CSM, or PSM certification preferred.
  • Experience with regulatory or compliance requirements preferred.
  • Experience with nearshore US-LATAM delivery teams preferred.
