Description

  • Design and develop high-quality backend services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Build low-latency API services and integrations with external SDKs and services in AWS.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL or AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration tests with real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams to deliver reliable solutions and meet commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with AWS, scalable RESTful APIs, and low-latency services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant systems and managing schema migrations.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Strong testing practices and experience working with large, complex systems.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours; bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models (preferred).
  • Experience with Fastify, Zod or schema-first validation, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains (preferred).
