Description

  • Design and develop low-latency API services and scalable RESTful APIs on AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and integrate external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to React and other frontend development when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement integration, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing against real databases.
  • Collaborate with clients and delivery teams while owning commitments and deliverables.
  • Apply software development best practices across large, complex systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external SDKs.
  • Proficiency with raw SQL and schema migration tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including integration testing with real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants, CI/CD, and large, complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree and availability to overlap with US business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and client-focused collaboration.
  • Preferred: Experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
