Description

  • Design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful API services in AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and integrate external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration tests with real databases and failure-mode testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver high-quality software and meet project commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant environments and integrating external services through SDKs.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including database integration and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD and large, complex systems.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree and availability to overlap with US business hours.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models (preferred).
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains (preferred).
