Description

  • Design and develop backend services and scalable RESTful APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Build low-latency API services and secure multi-tenant environments on AWS.
  • Integrate applications with external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and manage PostgreSQL/AuroraDB schemas, raw SQL, Row-Level Security, and migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including database integration, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while taking ownership of deliverables and commitments.
  • Apply software development best practices across complex systems and projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and secure multi-tenant systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including integration testing against real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications and working with AI coding assistants.
  • Substantial experience working with large, complex systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree and ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client-focused collaboration.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models (preferred).
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, and AWS Fargate/ECS (preferred).
  • Experience in compliance-sensitive or audit-heavy domains such as fintech or telecom/TCPA compliance (preferred).
