Description

  • Design and develop high-quality backend applications and low-latency API services in AWS.
  • Build scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations with external services.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including database integration and failure-mode testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while overlapping US business hours.
  • Apply software development best practices and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and large, complex systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Experience with AI coding assistants in daily development and CI/CD maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and client-focused teamwork.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, Zod or schema-first validation, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains preferred.
