Description

  • Design and develop high-quality backend applications and low-latency API services in AWS.
  • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and integrations with external services through SDKs.
  • Design secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL or AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schemas and migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration tests with real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver reliable solutions and uphold project commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with SDK integrations and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience creating secure multi-tenant environments and managing schema migrations with tools such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and broader full-stack development.
  • Experience with CI/CD, complex systems, and strong software testing practices.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours, with strong ownership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Experience with append-only, event-sourced, or bitemporal data models preferred.
  • Experience with Fastify, schema-first validation such as Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains preferred.
