Description

  • Design and develop backend services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Build low-latency services and integrations with external SDKs and systems on AWS.
  • Develop secure multi-tenant environments using PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and Row-Level Security.
  • Write raw SQL and manage database schema migrations.
  • Contribute to frontend development with React when needed.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and workflows.
  • Implement strong testing practices, including integration, database, failure-mode, and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and distributed teams while taking ownership of delivery commitments.
  • Apply software development best practices across large, complex systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and low-latency AWS services.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security.
  • Experience with secure multi-tenant environments, raw SQL, and schema migrations such as node-postgres or node-pg-migrate.
  • Professional experience with React and full-stack development.
  • Experience with CI/CD application creation and maintenance.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems and strong testing practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; ability to overlap US business hours.
  • Extreme ownership, accountability, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and client-focused teamwork.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
