Description

  • Design and develop low-latency, scalable RESTful API services on AWS.
  • Build secure multi-tenant environments and integrate external services through SDKs.
  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.
  • Write raw SQL, manage schema migrations, and implement Row-Level Security.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD applications and contribute to frontend development when needed.
  • Implement comprehensive testing, including integration tests with real databases and fault-injection testing.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality software and meet project commitments.
  • Work across complex systems and take ownership of deliverables from development through completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional, backend-focused software development experience.
  • Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience building low-latency AWS services and scalable RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
  • Experience building secure multi-tenant systems and integrating external services through SDKs.
  • Professional experience with React and the ability to contribute across the full stack.
  • Strong testing practices, including real-database integration testing and failure-mode testing.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD applications and using AI coding assistants in daily development.
  • Experience working with large, complex systems and a strong understanding of software development best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree, ability to overlap US business hours, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership, and client focus.
  • Preferred: experience with event-sourced or bitemporal data models, Fastify, Zod, AWS Fargate/ECS, or compliance-sensitive domains.
