Description

  • Design, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure using services including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Manage production Aurora/PostgreSQL environments, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build and maintain containerized deployment workflows using Docker and ECS/Fargate.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, tested rollback procedures, and rollback drills.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
  • Conduct load testing and operate services against latency SLOs and error budgets.
  • Apply security, vulnerability management, secrets management, compliance, and infrastructure-hardening practices.
  • Support SOC 2 or similar audit evidence, client security reviews, incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Production experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL, including failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/Fargate, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with deployment automation, rollback testing, observability, and load testing using k6 or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting security audits, client security reviews, incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Substantial experience working with large, complex systems and compliance-sensitive environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap with US business hours and demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and commitment to client deliverables.
  • Preferred: experience with S3 Object Lock, long-term archival, secure multi-tenant systems, PostgreSQL Row-Level Security, database migration tooling, expand/contract schema changes, or fintech and telecom compliance.
