Description

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using services including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Operate production Aurora/PostgreSQL databases, including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica-lag monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Build and manage containerized deployments with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and tested rollback procedures.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
  • Conduct load testing and operate services against latency SLOs and error budgets.
  • Apply security, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance, and infrastructure-hardening practices.
  • Support SOC 2 or similar audits, client security reviews, incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3.
  • Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production and working with large, complex systems.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker, ECS/Fargate, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with deployment automation, rollback drills, monitoring, logging, observability, and load testing with k6 or similar tools.
  • Experience with security practices, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance hardening, and SOC 2 or similar audits.
  • Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours and demonstrate strong ownership, problem-solving, attention to detail, and client focus.
  • Preferred: experience with S3 Object Lock, long-term archival, secure multi-tenant PostgreSQL environments, database migration tooling, expand/contract schema changes, or compliance-sensitive industries.
