Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark), Snowflake, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Build reliable, efficient, and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake-based cloud data solutions and data warehouse environments.
  • Implement and manage Snowflake objects such as databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, stages, and stored procedures.
  • Extract and ingest structured and semi-structured data from REST APIs, relational databases, SaaS applications, flat files, and cloud storage.
  • Develop robust ingestion frameworks and apply dimensional modeling to enterprise data warehouses.
  • Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to create logical and physical data models aligned with business goals.
  • Implement automated data quality controls, validation frameworks, monitoring processes, and data governance standards.
  • Monitor and optimize Snowflake workloads, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL queries to meet SLAs and improve cost efficiency.
  • Support production environments, diagnose pipeline issues, resolve incidents, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience developing end-to-end data pipelines from REST APIs, relational databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake features including virtual warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, secure data sharing, and performance optimization.
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and large-scale workload optimization.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling techniques such as star schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing source code and CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented mindset, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data integration best practices, data governance, and enterprise data management.
  • Preferred qualifications include SnowPro or Azure Data Engineer Associate certifications, plus experience with big data, machine learning, BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, Agile delivery, DevOps, and Terraform.
