Description

  • Lead the planning, development, coordination, and execution of instructor-led and web-based training programs for VHA initiatives.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate knowledge, skill, and communication gaps among users and stakeholders.
  • Translate training requirements into workshops, curricula, remedial modules, and other educational solutions.
  • Design, develop, revise, and maintain training materials such as workbooks, facilitator guides, manuals, job aids, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement standard and customized training programs aligned with organizational goals and adult learning methodologies.
  • Administer learning management systems, including course setup, enrollment, tracking, reporting, and system maintenance.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze training databases, records, metrics, and reports to support performance and compliance.
  • Deliver face-to-face, virtual, and online training sessions to clinical, operational, technical, and leadership audiences.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to trainers, end users, and stakeholders to support knowledge transfer and adoption.
  • Coordinate training logistics, communications, scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, clinical staff, project teams, and leadership to ensure content reflects current workflows, policies, and best practices.
  • Support test administration, user readiness efforts, and organizational change initiatives tied to system implementations and enhancements.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrations, briefings, and status updates to project teams, leadership, and client stakeholders.
  • Serve as a training lead for assigned initiatives and ensure timely delivery of training products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in training, instructional design, workforce development, learning management, or related training activities.
  • Experience developing and delivering instructor-led, virtual, and web-based training programs for adult learners.
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments, evaluating training effectiveness, and developing training materials and curricula.
  • Experience administering learning management systems (LMS), training databases, or related training management tools.
  • Professional clinical experience and understanding of healthcare delivery environments preferred.
  • Experience working in and/or training end users on Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) electronic health record systems preferred.
  • Experience supporting training initiatives within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), or other federal healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Experience leading large-scale training programs, training teams, or enterprise-wide user adoption initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional systems design methodologies, training evaluation techniques, and change management practices preferred.
  • Experience supporting healthcare IT implementations, modernization efforts, system deployments, or electronic health record transitions preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills preferred.
  • Experience developing eLearning content, virtual learning solutions, and blended learning programs preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools, learning technologies, and training development software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and lead cross-functional training efforts in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership, senior stakeholders, and large audiences preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance.
