Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and datastores that support enterprise analytics, data science, and operational workloads.
  • Lead and support large-scale database migration initiatives, including migrating on-premises SQL Server databases to cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance, stability, and reliability of data layer services and platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity, data quality, and compliance across pipelines and datasets.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and technology stakeholders to align data solutions with downstream consumer needs.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor data engineers, BI developers, and analysts and contribute to technical decision-making.
  • Design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions and database models optimized for analytical and reporting use cases.
  • Build and maintain data processing solutions and data ingestion patterns (SFTP, APIs, streaming, batch) to support varied workloads.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for data pipelines and infrastructure and maintain clear documentation of architectures and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-centric technical roles.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines and platforms and supporting analytics/data science consumers.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, modeling strategies, and analytical dataset design.
  • Proven experience with SQL-based data environments and database performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with cloud-native data technologies such as S3, EMR/Spark, Lambda, Kinesis, Firehose, and Glue.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts; Terraform experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience supporting BI tools and analytics consumers, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work autonomously, and experience collaborating in Agile teams using tools like Jira and Git.
