Description

  • Lead the development and execution of communications campaigns aligned with BCI priorities, including COP engagement, flagship initiatives, and climate-tech policy.
  • Serve as managing editor for BCI’s blog and newsletters.
  • Write, edit, and refine content across digital, editorial, and media formats to ensure clarity, tone, and policy alignment.
  • Support the production of web and visual materials in coordination with designers and developers.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications on speeches, editorials, and organisational statements.
  • Coordinate cross-platform storytelling across the website, social media, editorial content, and events.
  • Manage campaign timelines, creative workflows, internal content calendars, and volunteer assignments.
  • Translate organisational strategy into actionable communications initiatives and support narrative development for proposals, speaking opportunities, and multilateral engagements.
  • Monitor developments in climate policy, climate finance, and emerging technologies to inform messaging and identify opportunities.
  • Mentor Communications Officers, copywriters, and content volunteers, and coordinate with PR & Media, Web, and Research teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading communications campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across digital, media, and longform formats.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide junior team members and collaborate across functions.
  • Familiarity with climate change policy, climate finance, or emerging technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working in cross-cultural, global communications environments and managing remote workflows.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, with WordPress preferred.
  • Experience using collaborative tools such as Trello or Teams.
  • A degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant training or experience in nonprofit communications, sustainability, or global affairs.
