Description

  • Define and lead the vision and strategy for sports partnerships across all Block brands, ensuring cohesive storytelling and clear investment priorities.
  • Partner with marketing channel teams, communications, creative, strategy, legal, data science, and customer insights to align activations with business objectives and customer insights.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging properties, leagues, talent, and partnership opportunities that drive brand affinity, product attribution, and business goals.
  • Oversee end-to-end partnership development and execution, including ideation, project management, campaign leadership, and post-partnership evaluation.
  • Ensure activations are strategic, on-brand, innovative, culturally resonant, and push beyond traditional partnership approaches.
  • Establish measurement frameworks with Analytics to evaluate performance, impact, and ROI across awareness, consideration, conversion, and long-term brand lift.
  • Balance bold, culturally relevant experimentation with disciplined measurement and learning to inform future strategy and investment decisions.
  • Drive initiatives to position Block brands as leading and appealing partners within the sports ecosystem through continual innovation in strategy and tactics.
  • Mentor and build teams as needed, and remain hands-on in executional quality and problem solving across ambiguous or complex initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading and executing large-scale sports partnerships.
  • Proven success managing campaigns and partnerships with multiple stakeholders, complex deliverables, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience scoping, negotiating, executing, and measuring large-scale partnerships end-to-end.
  • Established network of relationships in the Sports & Entertainment industry with demonstrated ability to leverage that network to create strategic opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation instincts, creative instincts, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with Analytics or establishing measurement frameworks to evaluate awareness, consideration, conversion, and brand lift (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to set strategy, mentor teams, and remain deeply involved in executional quality.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Comfort working across multiple brands/business units and navigating ambiguity to spearhead initiatives.
