Description

  • Build and execute strategic relationship plans with merchants and non-merchants in collaboration with the Buy Now Pay Later sales team to ensure long-term account success.
  • Own revenue targets by identifying growth opportunities, expanding brand investment, and forecasting performance accurately.
  • Be accountable for KPIs including revenue attainment, client retention, and campaign performance metrics.
  • Design and deliver omnichannel, data-led media strategies for merchants using programmatic, social, CTV, audio, display, video, native, dynamic creative, personalization, and DOOH.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and evangelist for Afterpay Ads, educating clients and internal teams through training and insight sharing.
  • Lead innovation of Afterpay Ads offerings by developing solutions to address industry challenges and applying a storytelling approach to sales.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify campaign up-weight and channel diversification opportunities, proactively pitching solutions to merchants with relationship managers.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, marketing, media strategy, and programmatic partnerships teams to identify opportunities and resolve challenges.
  • Support and mentor sales and account team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in media, ad tech, or martech in a client-facing commercial or strategy role.
  • Experience in programmatic media planning, digital sales, or account management with strong understanding of omnichannel campaign execution.
  • Demonstrated success hitting revenue targets and growing investment within agencies, enterprise, or brand-direct accounts.
  • Strong relationships across Australia’s media agencies and ability to build relationships across multiple verticals/industries.
  • Familiarity with Buy Now Pay Later, e-commerce, or retail media networks (preferred but not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience working with ad tech partners, advertising agencies, and merchant clients in a cross-functional environment.
  • Comfort working across multiple time zones and the ability to perform work outside normal business hours when required.
  • Familiarity or willingness to use technologies including Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Anthropic, Gemini, Block’s Codename Goose), Airtable, and Salesforce.
