Description

  • Collaborate with the Tech Lead to define system architecture and development strategy.
  • Serve as acting Tech Lead when needed, making technical decisions aligned with product and business goals.
  • Design and implement scalable, efficient, maintainable full-stack systems.
  • Build prototypes and proof of concepts and evolve them into production features.
  • Lead complex full-stack development projects and resolve architectural, infrastructure, and application-performance issues.
  • Develop and deploy AI-driven applications and solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers in system design, cloud services, and AI technologies.
  • Present technical designs, architecture diagrams, and strategies to clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Improve engineering processes and champion architecture, cloud, AI, performance, and scalability best practices.
  • Interview engineering candidates and assess technical and team fit.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems and architectures.
  • Extensive full-stack development experience with Python, React, Next.js, Node.js, Java, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Hands-on Python and AI tooling experience, including large language models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
  • Experience designing, optimizing, and scaling relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as Firestore or MongoDB.
  • Experience integrating external APIs and third-party services.
  • Cloud management and configuration experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency with Git and managing large, complex codebases.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve distributed-systems, cloud-infrastructure, and application-performance issues.
  • Prior engineering leadership or Tech Lead experience, AI application infrastructure experience, and DevOps knowledge are preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident, located in the United States, and able to attain low-level/Public Trust security clearance.
