Description

  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts, including networking and preparing SOQs, proposals, and contracts.
  • Research local, state, and federal regulations as they apply to projects.
  • Make presentations to elected officials and advisory boards, attend conferences, and participate in interviews.
  • Prepare technical analyses and milestone deliverables for highway, bridge, and traffic work throughout the PennDOT project development process.
  • Manage projects, including cost control, budget control, and quality assurance/quality control.
  • Mentor less experienced staff in technical production and the PennDOT project development process.
  • Coordinate design efforts across multiple projects and disciplines to develop turnkey transportation projects.
  • Work on infrastructure projects for state DOTs, local municipalities, and private clients.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering license is required.
  • 8+ years of experience designing roadways, highways, and interstates.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, written, oral, and client relation skills.
  • Experience interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner.
  • Experience managing PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or other city and county transportation projects funded with local, state, and/or federal funds.
  • Experience with highway, bridge, or traffic milestone deliverables in the PennDOT project development process (preferred).
