Description

  • Lead complex geotechnical projects from concept through completion, managing budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Oversee field explorations, subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and construction observation.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and proposals to support project delivery and business development.
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver geotechnical solutions.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance across projects.
  • Track project progress, identify risks, and implement strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support railroad and transportation projects nationwide from remote locations.
  • Travel as needed to meet with clients and support project delivery.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering required; M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • 12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, including project management.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE quickly.
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software such as AutoCAD, Geostudio, and Lpile, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of transportation and railroad design and construction standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide.
  • Experience in railroad, bridge, dam, or levee projects preferred.
